As a true freshman in 2008 Thompson finished the season with 34 tackles, including 19 unassisted tackles. He also registered four tackles for loss (including one quarterback sack) and two interceptions.
Thompson expects to enroll at a four year school in January in time for spring drills (2010) and will have three years to play two.
